Our Partners

St George's Crypt worked with a wide range of partners in bringing "Entertaining Angels" to life. The original challenge came through Yorkshire Television's "Action Time" programme, where well-known local broadcaster and story-teller Ian Clayton challenged the people of Yorkshire to contribute reminiscences of the Crypt, and threw down the gauntlet to printing, design and photography companies to step forward and donate their services to make the book a reality. 100 people contributed to the book with their stories and memories, edited by Ian Clayton.

Duffield Printers from Kirkstall, Leeds came forward to offer printing of the book at no cost to the Crypt. Martyn Duffield, Chairman of Duffield Printers, has supported a number of "Action Time" projects over the years, and offered the services of his company at an early stage. www.duffieldprinters.co.uk

Brahm Design from Headingley, Leeds, were very excited about the project, and devoted countless hours of design time at no cost to ensure that the final lay-out of the book was both eye-catching and of a very high quality.

Brahm introduced the Crypt to the highly-regarded local photographer John Angerson, who at minimal cost produced a series of quite stunning black and white images of life at the Crypt today. These blend in magnificently with haunting archival photography of Crypt life down the years. http://www.johnangerson.com/crypt.htm

Cattles plc - a Batley-based finance company, KPMG, Barclays Bank and Tony Hester, a local builder, provided significant financial support towards the paper and binding costs of the book.

Aagaard Hanley, Baker Tilly and Design 4 Good provided sponsorship for the London book launches.
